FOR SALE: ONE BOTTLE OF 1975 BOLLINGER RD CHAMPAGNE WITH BOX

As you will hopefully see from the pictures, this bottle is being sold in excellent condition, having laid in French country cellar for the last 20+ years. It does not come with its original box, but a Bollinger Rose one. You are obviously not bidding on the box however.

Bollinger RD - like Perignon's Oenotheque and Krug's Clos du Mesnil/Collection - undergoes extended aging on the lees (8 years plus in the case of RD) and is marketed as the house's top champagne. This particular bottle was was disgorged in September 1984 after aging for 9 years. This is a very nice example; and I would doubt that there are many others out there - available from retailers/brokers even - that would be in such condition.

I have not found a retailer or broker who is currently selling this champagne - and given that 1975 was a particularly good vintage for champagne, this is probably not surprising.
