Description

A good bottle of Taylor's own Quinta.
Good clean and complete label. Sound capsule - no signs of any seepage.

From 'Vintage Wine and Port" website
"Dark red almost like a pinot noir to look at. On the nose very strong berry fruits. On the palate hints of the Vargellas fire. Long aftertaste and plenty of tannins. Excellent".

A couple of Cellartracker comments from the same taster but with 5 years interval:

Beautiful mature colour, not much depth but mature rim, very fine nose, raisins chocolate prunes leather, kept developing over several days, light body, fully mature, very elegant, somewhat drier in style, fine and long aftertaste. So much better than the Graham's 20 years old tawny tasted alongside. Graham's was good but smelled and tasted one dimensional compared to Vargellas 1978.
