Description

NEAL MARTIN 90
This is certainly showing signs of maturity on the tawny rim. The nose displays moderate intensity, a little diffuse and certainly not showing the vigour that it did 5-6 years ago. Slightly green, but still good definition, opening up nicely in the glass and becoming more cedary. The palate is medium-bodied, high acidity, just a little muffled with irony black fruits. Not quite as well focused as it used to be, but still retaining some freshness. Linear, rather conservative but a decent ’81 – a perfect luncheon wine. Tasted December 2007.
