Description

You are bidding on a fantastic bottle of d'Arenberg's Dead Arm Shiraz from the excellent 1999 vintage. The wine has been stored in my Eurocave since purchase. The level is well into the neck and the capsule is clean and undamaged. The front and back labels have some marking on them from damp which seems to have appeared in the Eurocave. Other than that the label is fine and unmarked.

Still plenty of life. Great fruit, plenty of pleasant tannins, beautiful nose with secondary characteristics, long finish. Powerful yet classy wine.

Best double-decanted for 2 hours - very dark, lovely concentration and richness. Chocolate cassis. Great subtle white pepper and eucalyptus finish. This has stuffing to last easily to 2020, maybe 2025. Definitely benefits from some extra air at the moment. Great value wine - though not for 'jam juice' haters.

This is still meaty and rich, lots of leather and spice on the nose with baked fruits and crushed flowers. Just no longer my style...

The wine can be collected form central London during the working week, or from North Wilts, or of course I can ship it to you in a polysafe container.
