"The Bing cherry,candied strawberry,and jammy black raspberry-scented 1999 Corton-Bressandes is a fresh,medium to full-bodied wine.It has loads of depth to its broad-shouldered,highly structured character.Loads of sweet tannin are present,yet this wine appears to have more than enough fruit to sustain it".

"This is obviously still young,with an intense,virile,blood-red colour,slight bricking to the rim,and an almost oily texture which flows distinctly slowly in the glass.Scent:cepes,beef tea,salt,fresh blood.Entry:medium-bodied,but grows more serious over a non-linear palate with phases of glycerine-smoothness,challenging gamey highness (roast pigeon,venison,juniper berry...),juicy plum/(over)ripe black cherry fruit,residuary rough powdery tannins,and vivid red fruit acidity (oops,was that a flash of Chambolle-Musigny?).The finish is tingling,electric,and "Burgundian"."
