A couple of more recent tasting notes on the 2001 Mont-Redon Chateauneuf du Pape on CellarTracker:-

"This has really developed nicely.Not spectacular,but into a very solid Burgundian-styled Chateauneuf.Garrigue,raspberries,leather,and some licorice come out in the glass.It's pure,kind of slender and elegant,rather than in your face,but still complex in the mouth with nice clean raspberries and a shade of white pepper,some leather,something close to forest floor and then finishes with delicious licorice.This shows that Mont-Redon needs time to strut its stuff.It has developed into something much better than the bottle I had two years ago".
