Description

Two beautiful mature 2005 red burgundies. I purchased a case of each from Justerini and Brooks and they were stored at Octavian until summer 2020. Levels and labels are perfect.

90 to 92 points Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (25), January 2007
As it usually is, this is the most elegant wine to this point and cooler as well with finely detailed red pinot fruit that proffers obvious stone notes that continue onto to the equally detailed and precise flavors that are fresh, balanced and refined on the punchy, vibrant and linear finish. I very much like the style here as it s a wine of finesse and understatement yet with character.

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound. January 2007
*Outstanding* Here the nose is both fresher and cooler with really pretty red berry fruit aromas that are also cut with ample minerality that can also be found on the rich, sweet and exceptionally pure middle weight flavors that offer wonderful delineation on the long and linear finish. There is a beautiful underlying tension and energy here and this should age well. Recommended.
