Description

One 750ml bottle of 2011 Bizot Echezeaux, perfect condition, bought on release from Arts et Terroirs in Belgium and stored in my Lay & Wheeler storage site since then.

The bottom line is that while some people really love 2011 red burgundies, I don't. I've givem them some time, tried them, and find that I'm very sensitive to the green quality. So I'm selling mine. But for sure a lot of people like them a lot, and it's true that they are developed and drinking well now for what they are.

(Domaine Bizot Echézeaux Grand Cru Red) This is even more aromatically complex though not necessarily riper, in fact if anything the spicy dark berry fruit aromas are more restrained and cooler. There is a silky and refined character to the medium-bodied flavors that ooze with dry extract and much better mid-palate depth, all wrapped in an impeccably well-balanced and lingering finish. Lovely potential. (Drink starting 2019)
