Description

Tasting description is as follows:-

Purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this wine was decanted off its sediment and aerated for two hours prior to serial sampling. Deep garnet, it has an attractive bouquet of red currants, coriander, nutmeg, cocoa and pipe tobacco. The wine's tannins are now nearly fully resolved, leaving a medium-bodied frame with medium acidity and nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 13%). The flavors mirror the nose and build on the mid-palate. Concluding with substantial length, this is an impressive, fully-mature Napa Cabernet which should hold up for another five years (or more). Drink now-2018.



Label detail is as follows:-

In the heart of the Napa Valley, just east of St. Helena, Conn Creek flows out of Howell Mountain through Conn Valley. Here the Anderson family grows Cabernet Sauvignon grapes which produce wines that rival those produced anywhere in the world.
The Vineyards are non-irrigated, a practise that develops smaller berries with deeper, more complex flavours from the greater skin to juice contact. After the whole-berry fermentation, the tanks are sealed for an additional 2 to 3 weeks of extended maceration.
After several rackings, the wines are aged in small French oak barrels in the caves at the vineyards.
The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only after sufficient bottle ageing are the limited quantities released. Even though they will benefit from further aging, you can enjoy them now. Observe the beautiful color, smell the rich bouquet, enjoy this fine wine and taste why we are so justly proud.
