Description

Codega do Larinho is a native grape of northern Portugal.

Here is the Wine Advocate's review from Dec 2012:
"The 2011 Codega do Larinho Andreza is a rare monovarietal of this grape. This is not currently imported. Fresh and clean, this pure and lovely wine has considerable persistence on the finish and a lemon-y nuance as well in its youth. While not terribly fleshy, it has more than enough body and it lingers, providing both freshness and intensity of flavor on the palate. It actually becomes quite gripping on the finish as it warms. The more I tasted it, the less I could believe the anticipated street price here. This is a real steal and it should be just perfect this summer. It is a very fine achievement at this price level. How it ages may be another matter, but at the moment and for this upcoming summer it should be awfully fine. Drink now-2015."

I've drunk a bottle of this recently & I really enjoyed the combination of "freshness and intensity" mentioned above. This will certainly drink well through 2015, possibly a bit longer.
