This is extremely earthy with fresh pinot fruit and rich, powerful, dense flavors that are both delicious and serious. Quite ripe but this remains beautifully fresh and I especially like the length with an intensity that seems to marry well with the prominent, somewhat rustic tannins. A very solid, well-structured Auxey. 88/2007-14 (drink 2007-2014) 88 points

Remarkably ripe and earthy fruit mix with underbrush and hints of game followed by nicely complex, chewy if not hard flavors and much better length and overall balance plus a hint of finishing warmth. This will require 6 to 8 years to round out to reveal its true potential and is first rate for the vintage. 89/2007-11 (drink 2007-2011) 89 points
