Description

A 70cl bottle of Black Watch blended whisky 40%. Not sure of the age of this bottle but I purchased it from a whisky auction site approx ten years ago and has been stored correctly since tgrn. The label shows a lone Piper however it was first launched in 1965 as 100 pipers by Seagram\\\'s and blended by master blender Allan Baille. Seagram\\\'s 100 pipers was claimed to be the fourth most popular scotch in Scotland in 1988. \

Bottling note: A blended Scotch Whisky, this celebrates the famed Black Watch. A formidable fighting force, known for their bagpipes (as depicted on the label)\

Tasting note\
\
Nose: Rich and punchy,peat smoke wafting over plumes of fresh blossom and fruit........ something coastal.\
\
Palate: Offers more peat, but this time a honeyed sweetness develops, fruitcake and oak.\
\
Finish: Honeyed smoke clings till the last.\
\
Overall: Enjoyable.
