Description

1x bottle of Sylvain Bzikot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Folatieres'. An excellent example of the style made from this acclaimed lieux-dit in the Puligny commune.
The bottle is in a very good condition. This is a very limited production and a rare find in the UK.
'The wine is vinified half in stainless steel and half in barrels, of which 90% are new, so that means that roughly 45% of the finished cuvée is vinified and aged in new wood. This sounds heavy for a village Puligny, but the stainless steel element of the cuvée brings such freshness and minerality that the oak is all but unnoticeable. The farming is organic.'
This was a wine made for maturing which is now in drinking window.
