Chateau Pavie Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe 1964. Label is a little dirty as can be expected for the vintage, has been stored in wine fridge and more recently moved to wine cellar at new home. I described level as high shoulder although it is actually just a shade under top shoulder.

In November 2018 the wine cellar insider site rated this wine as 92 with the following tasting notes..... Quite earthy, the sweet, pure, fresh cherries were stained with tobacco. Medium bodied, elegant and fresh, the finish served up a nice spicy note. Tasted November 22, 2018
