Description

At 54 years old this bottle of Talbot does have some wear.
The front, back and picture labels are all nearly intact but they are bin soiled and nicked. The capsule feels firm but, as can be seen from the photos, it is worn, nicked and a little corroded.
As for the level, this is about 7 cms below the base of the capsule but there is no obvious sign of any seepage. The bottle has been stored horizontally in a constant temperature cellar since we have owned it which is quite a while and during that time the level has not changed.
However, this is a very old wine and as such there can't be any guarantee regarding its condition.
1961 was regarded as an extremely good year for Bordeaux.
