Description

Dom Perignon 1975 - 95 points
Moet and Chandon Imperial Dry 1976
Moet and Chandon Premier Cuvée (same vintage)

The perfect Champagnes from a climated (10-12 degrees) wine cellar, bought in the Harrods at 1980.

Estimate price: 450-600 GBP

Dom Perignon 1975:
5 stars, classic vintage with wonderfully stylish and refined wines. Conditions during the early part of the year were unpredictable. Winter was damp and March saw snowfalls in the area. Temperatures picked up towards the end of April, and summer continued mainly warm and dry. Towards the end of September, however, the skies became overcast and rain fell quite heavily. The harvest was delayed until the start of October.

Moet 1976:
"This Champagne is made as both Vintage (Grand Vintage) and Non-Vintage (Brut Imperial). The NV was previously labeled as 'White Star' while the vintage version was labeled as Brut Imperial Vintage."
