Description

Two bottles of this 2001 burgundy from a reputable producer. Hard to find now in the UK.

nose: demure and earthbound nose of dark berries, raspberries, brown spices, with earth tones as well. excellent depth with a nice understated nature to the nose

taste: wonderful medium body with silky tannins and medium/high acidity along with dark tones of raspberries, berries, spices along with some mushrooms and earth tones

overall: this is a real lovely savigny les beaune. Feels like its just getting started and even has a way to go before it really hits its stride. This was aired for 3 hours and has a nice medium ruby color (91 pts.)”

I bought this wine from reputable London merchants over 10 years ago and have kept it in a dark underground proper cellar since then. The bottles on sale are those in the photos. The levels are very good and the colour is decent. The labels and capsules are also good.
