2000 PERRIERES

Burghound tasting note:

Though not quite as good as the '99, this is still a knock out with its intense, pure, seemingly crystalline aromas of wet minerals and white flowers followed by elegant, superbly delineated and outstanding length. This is like rolling pebbles around in your mouth. I very much like this.

1996 GENEVRIERES

I cannot find a tasting note for the 1996 Genevrières so i had to have a bottle last night just to see!! I thought still very young with no signs of oxidation (my main worry). Following is the note for the perrieres 1996 which historically gets very similar reviews.

Burghound tasting note:

A simply gorgeous nose of white flowers, stone and a complex array of citrus notes leads to pure, tight and moderately lean yet superbly well defined middle weight flavors that possess outstanding length. This is a vibrant, backward and incredibly youthful effort that will take years to realize their full potential. A great young Perrières that would be a complete waste to open now.
