Description

For auction is a single bottle of Penfolds Bin 389 from the blockbuster year of 2006.

Tasting Notes 2006:

Tasting note: Great colour, and as befits the vintage, is an intense and complex wine of great breed; it has many layers of blackberry, blackcurrant, licorice, earth and chocolate, the powerful tannins in balance, the oak likewise. 96/100 (11-Mar-2009) [James Halliday]

Tasting note: Very serious and intense red with the benefit of a few years bottle age really contributing to complexity and texture. Dense, sweet fruit nicely balanced by ripe tannins. Strong plum/berry, spice, liquorice and American oak. 94/100 (23-Feb-2012) [Bob Campbell)

The wine was bought by me at the time of release and has been properly stored at 12 degrees ever since - it is in perfect condition.

Postage is in a polystyrene wine carrier inside an outer cardboard box and will cost £15.00 by special delivery.
