Description

Quinta do Noval's Nacional is a rare wine produced from c.6000 vines on their original root stock planted in sandy soil in the heart of the Noval estate. The soil type affords both protection from the Phyloxerra louse which normally devastates ungrafted vineyards and leads to exceptionally low yields.

Like all vintage Ports, Nacional is not declared every year though the perfect exposure of the vineyard means that exceptional wines are produced in lesser years and the 1958 is an example of this. With only about 200 cases of this wine produced this may be one of the last opportunities to ever purchase it - let alone bottles which such excellent provenance and storage.

There are 2 bottles for sale as a single lot. One has a good label with a slight tear at the top left hand side whilst the other lacks a label but is identifiable from the capsule.
