Description

To quote from the label - "Since 1962, the finest red wine of the vintage has been hand selected and matured in our marble cellars in Angaston as 'The Signature'. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from premium Barossa vineyards and befits the quality Yalumba tradition, forged over 38 vintage releases. Twenty two months maturation in American, French and Hungarian oak hogsheads crafted at the winery's own cooperage has contributed sweet oak characters that combine with ripe, powerful fruit top create a wine of distinction."

Cellar tracker gives this a score of 92.

From the Yalumba website: "With good soaking rains for the beginning of the 2004/2005 growing season, a promising vintage was on offer. Warm temperatures over summer and autumn enabled the grapes to ripen evenly and gradually. The result is red wines from the Barossa showing excellent flavour intensity and structure."

All I can say is that it is absolutely delicious - and this is the last bottle I have of this vintage, unfortunately. Enjoy!
