Lot size: 12 bottles of 750 ml each Wine type: Assorted, NV/Assorted vintage
Tax status: Duty PaidQuestion Mark Origin: Lirac, Rhône, France
Fill level: Question Mark Grape variety:

Established in 1344, Chateau Mt. Redon is one of the oldest wine-producing estates in France and the largest single property in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The vineyards are planted in the 13 grape varieties of the region and are covered with large, smooth stones which reflect the sun warmth by day and residual heat by night into the maturing grapes.

Review: This is as soft as velvet. Just beginning to show signs of age at the edge, but mainly dark purple. Nose of soft leather, liquorice, Agen prunes, a little smoked bacon/meat, sweet paprika and vanilla. Medium to heavy body but soft and supple, acidity to give a serious ability to deal with food but good on its own. Lingers with scents of rose and smoked cherry (!).

Other details

The wine has been kept in the temperature-controlled Members Reserve in the Wine Society since release.
