BonneZeau - Les Melleresses - Rene Renou
1999 - rare year!
6 x 50cl bottles in wooden crate

(crate has some damage from opening as pictured. All bottles unopened)

"This wine comes from the Loire Valley which is a huge wine region overall but has a lot of smaller very select regions for different types of wines. This wine comes from the Anjou-Saumur region and then from the smaller region of Bonnazeaux. The grape variety used is the Chenin Blanc which is very versatile in that it can be both very dry right through to exceptionally sweet. This particular wine is made from over ripe grapes that sometimes can show the Noble Rot (Botrytis) that is found in the worlds best sweet wines. Usually this wine is not overly too sweet because of it's northern climate but can last many years in it's best Vintages. The 1999 is now very rare in that basically there is very little to be found."
