Since the world-renowned oenologist Philippe Cambie has taken over as wine consultant, the quality of Domaine du Grand Tinel's wines has improved by leaps and bounds.
2010 was a magnificent vintage for the southern Rhone and this estate produced a superb,full-bodied,high alcohol, rich fruit-filled Chateauneuf du Pape:-

"The delicious, open-knit 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape (80% Grenache, 18% Syrah and 2% Mourvedre) exhibits sexy kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with notions of roasted Provencal herbs, pepper, smoked meats and forest floor. It is a full-bodied, fat, fleshy Chateauneuf with a serious alcoholic punch. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
Both of these 2010s performed significantly better than they did last year. In fact, last year's tasting was somewhat of an aberration given the consistent excellence of the proprietors, the Jeune family, and the omnipresent Philippe Cambie, their consulting oenologist".
(91 Points).

Robert Parker. (The Wine Advocate. October 2012).

"Ripe, polished and accessible now, with a delicious core of plum, blackberry and boysenberry stitched with sweet spice, red licorice and vanilla bean notes. The long finish lets the sweet fruit drip without being jammy, thanks to a graphic edge.Best from 2015 through 2027".
(91 Points).

James Molesworth. (The Wine Spectator. October 2012).

"Spicy black raspberries, silky, refined textures and a forward,lush,pure,fruit-filled finish are found in this wine. The Domaine's consultant oenologist is Philippe Combie".
(91 Points).

Jeff Leve. (The Wine Cellar Insider. May 2013).
