Lot size: 1 bottle of 750 ml each Wine type: White, 1976 vintage
Tax status: Duty PaidQuestion Mark Origin: Sauternes, Bordeaux, France
Fill level: Base of Neck (BN)Question Mark Grape variety: Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend

Situated at Preignac this estate has been in the same hands since its purchase in 1919 - the Poujardieu family.

1976 was an outstanding **** vintage - Michael Broadbent.

This bottle has a slightly stained label (see photo) and a good level for a 40+ year old at Base Of Neck. The capsule is complete and covers a firm cork. Certainly no signs of any seepage.

The 10 hectares are planted with 85% semillon, 10% muscadelle and 5% sauvignon blanc. Annual production is approximately 25 000 bottles.
The harvest, evidently manual, is carried out by continuous sortings and is extremely rigourous, (from 4 to 6 sortings on average) in function of the grape maturity and of the noble rot.
The grape bunches are harvested in a stainless steel bucket and pressed in a pneumatic press. The wines are aged in underground vats.
