Description

Becoming increasingly rare as time goes by (as I suppose are all wines!) but you get my drift I trust...

This bottle from the legendry 1982 vintage has a good fill at the Very Top Shoulder with and a good embossed capsule.

All bar the 'visually challenged' will note that the label has suffered somewhat but the stains are from the exterior, and although unfortunate will not alter the wine in any way.

TWO more similar bottles are available any of which could be added to the BidForWine invoice, subject to remaining unsold.

Score: 92 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (183), June 2009
Unquestionably the greatest La Lagune until the 2005 was conceived, the 1982 exhibits a dense ruby/purple-tinged colour along with a big, sweet bouquet of black cherries, licorice, smoky toast, and forest floor, a plush, medium to full-bodied mouth feel, and sweet tannin. It is close to full maturity, and should keep for another decade
