This Cerrati 2008 vintage is an excellent expression of the classic Barolo style. Bright ruby red with garnet hints and rim. It has a very intense nose displaying floral notes of wild rose and sage, ripe raspberry, syrupy cherries mixed with hints of clove and liquorice, leather, tobacco and a subtle background earthy note. The palate is powerful, savoury, mineral and full-bodied with a juicy texture and sweet tannins perfectly integrated in the structure. It has a long fruity and spicy finish.
Best pairing with game dishes or stews, and mature cheese. Perfect match with caramelised suckling pig.

Drinking well now but will improve over next 5-10 years
