Description

Castiglion del Bosco is one of Tuscany's largest estates, 10 kilometres long and 12 times the size of Hyde Park! The 56 hectares of vineyards also make it one of the largest Brunello producers. Despite this size (big in Montalcino terms) the wines have an extremely fine, handcrafted feel about them. The scale of the vineyard holdings means that Castiglion del Bosco enjoys a variety of distinct terroirs and micro-climates within the one property. New cellars and significant investment in the vineyards are establishing the estate as one of the 'rising stars' of Montalcino.

Brunello del Montalcino, Campo del Drago is a wine of great personality and represents the flagship of the Castiglion del Bosco range. It has a rich, intense nose with plenty of blackberry, blueberry and vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine combines concentrated, rich, dark fruit with spicy notes conferred from 24 months in French oak. An elegant wine with superb structure and a long, rich finish.
