Description

I actually know quite a lot about the provenance of this bottle: It came from a case I bought from Farr Vintners in 1999 for my then boss. He gifted several of the contents - this particular bottle was given to his lawyer who sold it back to me a couple of years ago. Said lawyer kept it in his cellar at home during his tenure.

Funnily enough, we can both remember the divot on the capsule (see pic 3) being present when he was given the bottle, so it must have occurred in the case.

Since I bought it back it has been winking at me from my wine cooler - i have never tried this wine and am desperate to do so (who isn't!?) - but with a heavy heart I have finally concluded that it's simply too rich for my blood, so reluctantly it is now offered to a new home.

The level is very top shoulder, capsule nice and firm, label intact but damaged top right corner - see pic 4.

Bonne chance!
