Remaining 2 of 2 bottles of the superb Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Was 3 remaining but enjoyed immensely 1 bottle recently for my birthday. Slightly dusty label and shrunk foil but cork appears fully intact. When I opened the 3rd bottle with my two-prong cork puller it came out in good condition.
I have over the years been collecting wines. It was recently my birthday, and I therefore made a stock clean up, to make space for new ones. Wines I have put forward, is partly from my father’s collection which I inherited, all had been kept in wine fridges, and partly from a friend who has an old manor house, where he has a wine cellar.
Since I was given the wines, they have all stayed in my Cable wine fridges.
