Michael Broadbent (5 stars) - Most recently: lovely colour, glowing "rich" legs; immediately forthecoming, fragrant bouquet, with sweet honeyed development. Sweet, soft, fleshy, excellent flavour and still quite a bite. (Nov 2005)
Robert Parker (90 points) - Among the ancient vintages, I have very good notes only for one vintage in the thirties (not a good decade for Bordeaux). The 1934, drunk from magnum in 1986, was wonderful. (Jan 1998)
Wine Spectator (90 points) - Tastes smooth and elegant, with that difficult-to-describe character that some call finesse. Its straightforward, crisp cherry flavours are overlain with a wonderful, spicy bottle bouquet. (Nov 1991)
