Description

A chance to own one of the rarest wines available - there's not much of this made today of course but bottles of this age are very hard to come by. This was part of a large collection I purchased a year ago from a deep private cellar in yorkshire, where virtually all the wines had been purchased on release and laid down for decades. I have included as many photos as possible to allow as much detail as possible to be seen - if you require further shots then please contact me via the BFW messaging system. This label is entirely correct and consistent with the labelling system at the time, the Richebourg not carrying an individual bottle number. Other examples from contemporary vintages bear this out.

As you can see the label is in great shape and entirely correct for the vintage, there is no sign of seepage and the level is excellent, the wine appears to be an excellent colour through the glass and the capsule is in great shape too. If you have a look through the feedback you will see some comments on the 1959 and 1952 burgundies that also came from this cellar and they have been in superb condition.

Please see my other auctions for more fizz, top notch claret and fine burgundies.
