Description

This is a double magnum (3 litres). The wine has been stored in a damp cellar for many years; label is very bin soiled, but easily legible; level is into neck; capsule is damaged (see image), but no signs of seepage. Perfect for that large seasonal gathering!

The 16th century castle of Château Cadillac lies near the village of Cadillac en Fronsadais, where the headquarters of Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues' Leda group are located. The Lesgourgues family is originally from around Madiran in the sout-west. Jean-Jacques is a serious aficionado, but unlike most of us he collects wine estates rather than just bottles. Château Cadillac was his first purchase in 1991.

70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, ages for a year in new wood.

The "Lesgourges" is the special cuvee of Ch Cadillac.
