Community Tasting Notes (average 95 pts. and median of 95 pts. in 3 notes)
Tasted by Anonymous on 1/16/2007 & rated 95 points: Dinner at Beaune Wine Bar. This was a nice surprise. Beautiful wine with lots of power and structure. It's dense, with perfect balance and lots of complexity. It was the exact opposite of the 59 Lafite, this being the manly man of the two while the Lafite was the more feminine and sexy. (1385 views)
Tasted by BradE on 1/13/2007: Tampa Part II: 47 Cheval, 47 Petrus, 20/26 Haut Brion, 28 P Clement, 26 GL, 59/82 Lafite, 53 Latour, more...: This was absolutely awesome. What a nose. If a perfume was labeled "old bordeaux", this is what it would be. Softer, like a lot of 53's, but still with lots of backbone. Perfumed, sexy. This is what good old bdx is all about. (1544 views)

Vintage Tastings, Top 100 Weekend, Year III (1/3/2007)
(Latour) had a ‘Grade A+’ nose. Its walnuts, cedar and caramel twists resulted in a climax of aromati! cs. It w as absolutely delicious with the signature, brooding Latour style, full of minerals and iron, great acidity and extraordinary balance and power 98 points
