Description

In immaculate condition for its age - pretty much in shop window condition in fact - here we have an extremely rare bottle of 1948 Richebourg from DRC. Please see the photos for levels and labels. This is from a large brick cellar in Yorkshire where it has spent most of its days. All of the wines we have tried from this collection so far have been in A1 condition, in particular a 1952 Corton which we drank in October. As with any single bottle, one can only go on the provenance provided and the appearance of the bottle, both of which are excellent. As far as I can ascertain, there are only 4 bottles of this available on the global market and none of the vendors have any provenance or photos on their sites. The starting price reflects the rarity of this bottle and its condition, but is a very long way below any of the other prices offered.

Payment via bank transfer, personal cheque or paypal. Any charges accrued through bank or paypal will be payable by the purchaser. Overseas buyers please ensure that you have insurance cover for this bottle. It will be sent extremely securely packaged. I will hand deliver this to anyone within reasonable driving distance or can arrange to meet in central London if preferred.

Please see my other auctions for some more very interesting wines.
