Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, 1972

A rare vintage bottle from the iconic Domaine de la Romanee Conti from the Grand Cru vinyard and AOC of Richebourg from the 1972 vintage.

The bottle is in exquisite condition for its age with an excellent fill level with ca.4cm ullage, an intact capsule with little wear and minor corrosion.
The main label and Leroy secondary label are intact with age related discolouration and minor scuffs (see images).
The colour is mature but very good, the clarity is very good as well.
The glass bottle itself has a typical mid early 70s style of bottom finishing.

DRC produces some of the greatest wines in the world that are also constantly under the most expensive and sought after and is usually considered the greatest wine of Burgundy and an amazing, long live expression of Pinot Noir.

Certainly a difficult DRC to find in such condition!
