Description

This Echezeaux is rich with a nice fruity character. Classic Echezeaux . Nice cherries well balanced, with quite a bit of potential. The new system of no filtering is having a dramatic impact. Additionally, their cellars have recently moved and they're now producing wines in a larger cellar allowing them to have more room to work. It's safe to say that Clos Frantin is really turning things around. The younger generation has become more involved and asserting their desire to further the development of the Domaine. Wine Spectator… 'Supple wine, so fat it's approachable upon release. Offers a round, smooth tannin structure, ripe fruit and excellent complexity of toasted oak, wet earth, plum and red- and blackberry notes. Turns silky on the finish.'
