From the majestic 61 vintage. Tasted recently, still showing well though fully mature. Pale in colour with gentle hints of tart cherry rose petal and leather. Plenty of balanced acidity left and some lovely dry tannins still evident. Mature red fruits lead to a long finish. This needs to be decanted well in advance, we gave it three hours but feel that another hour on top would have been better. (We opened three bottles and there was very little variation between them). Also stand for a few days to allow sediment to fall. Two of the corks came clean out. On opening there was some bottle stink but this dissipated with the time in decanter.
