elegant and complex at 13.5 %..Dark purple. Explosively perfumed nose displays spicy red and dark berries, Asian spices, graphite and tobacco, along with a sexy floral overlay. Lush but focused, with juicy black raspberry and cassis flavors complicated by smoky bacon and candied violet. Textbook syrah, delivering a striking blend of fruit, animal and earth qualities and excellent finishing clarity. I'd hold onto mine for at least another five years. -- Josh Raynolds
