"The 1991s all reveal ripe fruit, higher acidity than most white burgundies (remember, the malolactic was blocked), and laudable purity. Even richer than the Bienvenues-Batard-Montrachet, the 1991 Batard-Montrachet is dense and unctuous, with fine acidity, powerful, authoritative flavours, and whoppingly long length." (10/93).
