A fantastic example of an 18 year old Whisky that is extremely rare to find on the market at the moment.
50% malt content from Highland Park, Glenrothes, Tamdhu & Bunnahabhain distilleries; grains from North British, Strathclyde & Invergordon.
Nose: A trio of breakfast treats - honey-nut cereals (with milk), marmalade on toast and a touch of honey-dew melon, followed by wafts of lemon drizzle cake.
Palate: Sticky toffee pudding, orange oil, polished oak and chocolate truffles. A light touch of oatcakes.
Finish: Buttered malt loaf, cinnamon, cardamom and grapefruit peels.
This is one meant to be sipped on its own or with a small splash of water.
This was a single barrel exclusive bottling (one of only 961 produced!), it's an absolute bargain now as there is a shortage of 18YO whisky in the market. For this kind of quality, you are usually quoted £70-£100 per 50cl now.
