Domaine Jacques Prieur’s parcel of Corton Charlemagne is just half an acre and sits in the Les Pougets portion of the vineyard almost in the dead center of the hillside. You could easily refer to this parcel as the “sweet-spot” of Corton Charlemagne.
The vineyard is steep and very chalky,which confers an intense mineral quality to the wine.The famous Corton-Charlemagne vineyard is one of Burgundy's only six Grand Cru whites. In hot vintages like 2003 it excels,because of its cool chalky soil...this ensures good acidity and fresh fruit.

Since purchase,this bottle has been stored in a purpose-built,temperature-controlled cellar.It is in immaculate condition,with the wine fill high into neck and the label and capsule in a pristine state.
