Description

Humagne Blanche is one of the oldest varietals grown in the Valais region. Mentioned in 1313 in a legal document, the Registre d’Anniviers. Popular tradition traces its origins back to Roman times, and its supposedly high iron content has given it the nickname "vin des accouchées", or "the wine of women who have just given birth". Modern research has called both these legends into question, however. The Humagne Blanche is a varietal that grows only in the Valais region. It is not related to the Humagne Rouge, and almost completely disappeared in the 20th century due to its low yields and susceptibility to disease.

The Humagne Blanche Danse des Etoiles is made from grapes from a single vineyard "les Trémedières" Vinification - Twelve months of aging in 400-litre barrels concludes the elaboration of this speciality.

A golden yellow colour with a wonderfully lively bouquet combining white peaches, melon and cashew nuts with a touch of elegant yet discreet vanilla flavour. Aromas - this rich and opulent wine combines a fruity delicacy with hints of vanilla. As the wine matures, walnut and hazelnut notes appear.
