Dry white wine from the Republic of Georgia (Near Russia) made from the indigenous grape Mtsvane. This is 2010 vintage and the winery is called Telavi Wine Cellar (marani in the local language).
The wine is pale golden with an inviting nose with hints of apple blossom and acacia. It’s dry, but full and weighty to taste with notes of poached pear and honey, and a lingering crisp finish. A good partner to roast chicken or pork, or creamy pasta dishes.
