This terroir lies in the lower area of La Tourtine. The terroir is small, with particular features: first it is sheltered by the hill from the Mistral wind and it gets a light breeze that goes up along the narrow terraced slope; then it faces south, south-west which gives it maximum sun exposure.
These exceptional conditions allow the Mourvèdre vines - 95% in that area- to reach an ideal maturity. The low yield makes it a rare wine.
This vigorous and powerful wine with its dense tannin is often a revelation to the lucky few who taste it. It is a reference.
