Wine Relief Auctions

Bid for Wine is pleased to present a charity auction in aid of Wine Relief, the wine-related fundraising campaign that raises money for Comic Relief's work in Africa and the UK (see here for more details). Special mention should go to The Association of Wine Educators who first approached us with the idea and to Jancis Robinson (one of Wine Relief's founders) who approached us separately and has helped co-ordinate donations of lots.

The lots which have been generously donated for the auction are all first class and in most cases are very rare or even one-offs. So far they include:

-A 6 litre bottle of Dow 2007 Vintage Port (WS 100pts) donated by Symington Family Estates
-A signed jeroboam (4 litres) of Chablis 'Les Clos' 2008 donated by Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
-A magnum of 2001 Ridgeview Blancs de Blancs donated by Richard Bampfield MW (Chairman, Association of Wine Educators)
-A bottle of 1966 Chateau Pape Clement donated by Laura Clay (Secretary, Association of Wine Educators)
-A bottle of 1981 d'Oliveiras Verdehlo Colheita Madeira Clement donated by Charles Metcalf (President, Association of Wine Educators)
-A 3 litre bottle of Chateau Rauzan Segla 1995 Grand Cru Classé donated by Chateau Rauzan Segla.
