Floridene
This well-known property of Denis Dubourdieu has produced a 2005 that offers up loads of smoky barbecue and chocolaty fruits, including blackcurrants and cherries. Medium-bodied with relatively soft tannins because of the vintage, this is a larger-boned and bigger-framed wine than usual, but impressive. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. Drink 2015-2030

Lanessan
A classic Médoc, Lanessan’s 2005 exhibits beautiful, almost Pauillac-like, cedary blackcurrant fruit. Always a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Cabernet Franc and some Merlot and Petit Verdot, the wine is medium to full-bodied and meaty, with forest floor, blackcurrants, and some cedar wood. It is delicious, soft, and surprisingly approachable for a 2005 Médoc. The color is a healthy dark plum/ruby/purple. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
