The 2007 Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon (100%) spent 15 months in 95% new French oak. Toasty oak, earthy minerals, exotic spices, incense, tobacco, and assorted black fruits lead to a ripe, rich, pleasure-bent wine. Give this nicely proportioned, lengthy effort a minimum of 4-5 years of additional cellaring and drink it from 2016 to 2027.

The Santa Rita from Casa Real is one of Chile's true Icon wines. No longer sells at quite the price it once did, but a great, great wine.

1 x 75cl 2007 De Martino Old Bush Vines Las Cruces (ERP 90pts)
The 2007 Old Bush Vines Las Cruces Vineyard was aged for 24 months in new French oak. It is a blend of 65% Malbec and 35% Carmenere from a vineyard that was originally planted 70 years ago. It gives up an intriguing nose of pain grille, pencil lead, cinnamon, lilac, black cherry, and blueberry. Velvety-textured and plush, it has outstanding depth, chewy fruit, succulent flavors, and excellent balance. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years.
