Description

Come in No 1228440, your time may be up!

An almost perfect relic from "before the war", and one that escaped the Duce`s beady eye. Probably shipped after the cessation of hostilities. What it is like to drink is anybody`s guess...but this is in the fine tradition of the sardines tins - "not for eating, they`re for selling" or in this case perhaps - GIVING.

This is a bottle found in an underground cellar near Chatham where it had been since the 1950`s.

The bottle is in remarkably good condition and if it were not for the dust settled on the label and making photos difficult to read, would be almost perfect.

The level is top shoulder.
The capsule and the Chianti neck wrapper with number is intact and no signs of any leaks.

There is a futher label at the foot of the bottle which if my `new improved` Italian is correct are serving instructions.
