Description

Looks like it is estate bottled by A.Berteletti & F.lli.
If in doubt you can always telephone them on 81770 if you can find the area code for Gattinara.

What to say about this fine bottle? Well, frankly not that much, bar :

Primo
Try finding ANY bottle from 1965 to offer or celebrate a 50th next year.
No Port, Bordeaux was a spectacular wash out, a large volume going for distillation it was so poor. Burgundy? Hardly ever seen any of that either; probably much the same fate. New world wines were largely not even planted then, and so we come down to Barbaresco 1965!

Secundo
A full clean complete label, not soured by bumps and grazes, a good complete capsule showing no signs of seepage.
An excellent level for an old 'un at BASE OF NECK! Obviously Sr. Berteletti didn't stinge on the corks and the owner looked after it properly.
All good news...
